Beach-iKimono and Home-iKimono 2008 winners

On Sunday May 25th Rapa Nui on Bloemendaal beach hosted the first iKimonoshow, organised by the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and iKi beer. Forty AMFI students modelled their interpertation of the Japanese iKimono. The jury included Milou van Rossum (fashion editor volkskrant newspaper), Hans Ubbink (fashion designer) and Toyoko Shimada (artist).
Sanne Haselager was the winner in the category “best beach iKimono”, winner in the category “best home iKimono” was Josephine Hernadi.
Charlotte Desire received a special mention for her iKimono. The jury's comment on the Home-iKimono: “This iKimono brings is summer in your home. A surprising mixture of west and east.” The jury's comment on the winning Beach-iKimono: "Brilliant Japanese zen-vibe". The winning iKimono’s will be produced and available to purchase for summer 2009 through iKibeer webshop.
