The people behind iKi

Iki beer is not an ordinary beer. It was painstakingly created over a long period of time and many trials to achieve perfection. iKi beer is unique, thanks to the successful marriage of Japanese mystical experiences with Western craftsmanship.

A group of beer enthusiasts with direct knowledge of Japanese culture, and experience in marketing and communication, joined forces to introduce iKi beer.

Liefmans Brewery

To create iki beer, our team works closely with Liefmans, a brewery based near Gent, Belgium. Liefmans specialises in brewing top-fermented beers. Liefmans exceptional quality standards earns them a prominent position in the brewing industry. They are famous for their Kriek beers.

iKi and Green tea

You might ask yourself: How is it possible to combine beer and green tea in the same product? Well the combination of the two creates a really refreshing beer , highly suitable as an aperitif or a great accompaniment to fish, sushi, salads, and other llight dishes.

iKi beer is an ale which is a top fermented beer. The freshness of its flavor along with the lower bitterness level of Iki beer, create a unique balance that makes it stand out from the mainstream beers. The base of iKi beer is green tea, barley malt, hop and yeast. In addition, iKi beer also contains special ingredients: sencha green tea and the Japanese fruit Yuzu.
